The competition is open to children in the age groups 3–4, 5–6, 7–8, 9–10 and 11–12 years.

Age will be considered as on 1st April 2026.

Each participant must recite the number of dohas specified for their age category.

Only dohas by Kabir Das Ji or Tulsidas Ji will be accepted.

The meaning of every recited doha must be explained by the child.

The explanation should be given in the child's own words and should demonstrate their understanding of the doha.

Parents/guardians may assist younger children with understanding instructions but may not recite or explain the dohas on behalf of the child.

Age Criteria:-

3–4 Years:
Recite 1 doha and explain its meaning.

5–6 Years:
Recite 2 dohas and explain their meanings.

7–8 Years:
Recite 3 dohas and explain their meanings.

9–10 Years:
Recite 4 dohas and explain their meanings.

11–12 Years:
Recite 5 dohas and explain their meanings.

Judging Criteria:-

1. Pronunciation & Clarity
2. Recitation & Expression
3. Confidence & Presentation
4. Understanding of the Doha
5. Accuracy of Meaning & Relevance of Explanation

The submitted performance must be the participant's own performance.

Videos containing significant parental prompting, narration or recitation on behalf of the child may affect eligibility/evaluation.

The submitted video should be clear, audible and suitable for judging. There should be no editing in the video during recitation.

The organisers reserve the right to reject submissions that do not follow the competition requirements.

The decision of the judging panel will be final and binding.

The Top 3 participants in each age category will be declared winners.

All eligible participants will receive a participation e-certificate.

The organisers reserve the right to disqualify a participant in case of plagiarism, misrepresentation, inappropriate content or violation of the competition rules.

The participant must belong to the applicable age category based on their age as on 1st April 2026. The child must recite the required number of dohas according to their age category.

Only dohas by Kabir Das Ji and/or Tulsidas Ji are permitted.

Participants must submit a video recording of their performance through the designated website submission process.

The video should clearly capture the child's face and voice so that the recitation and explanation can be assessed.

The child should participate independently. Parents may help younger children understand the instructions or prepare, but the recitation and explanation must be performed by the child.

Children are encouraged to focus on correct pronunciation, clear speech, expression, confidence and understanding rather than simply memorising the verses.

Each doha should be followed by its explanation so that the child's understanding can be assessed clearly.
